Longboarding

A longboard is kind of like a skateboard, but it is more about speed than tricks, but don’t get me wrong you can do plenty of tricks while longboarding.

The main component of a longboard is the deck itself, the trucks, bushings, and the wheels. You can get many different pictures on your deck you can even personalize it at some stores to have ‘One Direction’ on it!! Or ant thing else you might be interested in.

My favorite part about longboarding is how fast I can go and how quickly I can turn! I use my brother’s longboard right now because I don’t have one if you have any suggestions about what is a good place to buy from I’m all ears!! In the video I posted below the people are really crazy with their tricks you don’t need to be able to do all of that LOL. This is a very good thing to invest in if you do not have a car yet, because it is an easy FAST way to get around, without your parents having to drive you!!

Tumlbr Inspired: Aztec/Fair Isle Leggings!

Today I thought I'd let you guys know about a trend I have seen in the hallways of my school and online a lot lately. 

Aztec/Fair Isle Patterned Leggings!!! 

The ones in this picture are adorable! Leggings are such a great way to stay comfy but still look rather put together. They are like heaven on your legs, a comfy pair of leggings is a really good investment! I recommend getting a grey pair and a black pair for starters. I have tried TNA and Garage leggings, both are super but Garage's are thicker. 

The ones in this picture are Fair Isle print. This kind of Nordic print looks really wintery and Christmassy.  I love the print in this photo because it is the perfect size, two big of a print tends to look overpowering and too little of a print sometimes looks like pajamas. An aztec print can also look really cool, the ones linked below from urban outfitters look great! I would pair these leggings with my brown boots and a basic flowey long sleeve black top.

One Direction's New Album!!!

 

A few of my new favorite songs that have come out are Heart Attack and I Would by One Direction the first time I heard them i fell in love with them. There new album is called 'Take Me Home'!! All of the songs are so amazing. At the bottom of the post I will provide a link to the songs.

Review of ‘Take me home’: I loved the track!! I listen to it all the time on the bus lol. My favorite song is ‘She’s Not Afraid’ the guitar in the beginning is so great and all their voices are so hot!! My least favorite song is ‘Rock Me’ I don’t know what is about it’s just not me. Over all I love the album and one direction.

My favourite Photo-sharing Websites/Apps for Teens

For my first post I decided to talk about something I have been obsessed with lately. Three awesome photo sharing sites- instagram, tumblr and gifboom. These sites also have allowed me to get to know teens from around the globe and to not only read what they are up to but see it as well. I have chosen my three favourites and quickly given some pros and cons in this post. I hope you find this helpful and I hope you enjoy photo-sharing websites/apps as much as I do! 

1) Instagram

Instagram is a free app that is very simple to use. It allows users to add effects and quickly share photos to their Instagram followers, as well as share a link to your post to twitter, facebook and other social networking sites.
- Tons of people use instagram, it is especially popular with teens.
- Post photos in under 3 minutes.
- Clean, simple, easy interface.
- Interesting variety of posts, celebrity fan pages (one direction anyone?), aspiring photographers, style pages and tons of other themed pages can be found on Instagram.
- Be careful, your account is public unless you turn on the private setting.

2) Tumblr

Although tumblr is a blogging site and app, I have found the majority of the posts to be photos or gifs. Most of the photos on tumblr, unlike instagram, are not private photos but cool, trendy, interesting photos. The best way to get started on tumblr is to follow a lot of people and look at their blogs, if you look at the people I follow you will find some inspiring blogs. Tumblr allows you to set up a blog where you can easily reblog other user's posts as well as create your own. 

- Tumblr is used by a lot of teens.

- Simple to use once you get the hang of it.

- Your blog is completely public.

- You can use tags to track posts.

- Customize your blog easily.

- Beware, not everything on tumblr is G rated.

3) Gifboom

Gifboom is like instagram except for instead of sharing photos, you share gifs. Okay so technically it isn't a photo-sharing website/app but I still think gifboom is worth mentioning. For those of you who don't know, a gif is where you take multiple photos and put them together. 

- Quickly create gifs on your iPhone or Android.

- Share them with your friends through iMessage, twitter, facebook and other social networking sites.

- Occasionally Gifboom offers sponsored contests.

- Like and comment on other people's gifs.

- Edit your gifs: speed, effect, crop and add text.
